Knowledge and how it challenges the authority of Dracula
Knowledge is continually tested throughout this novel, especially as knowledge is seen as power but then corrupted and challenged by evil. Stoker uses this idea to portray his belief in woman and their potential, as Mina is the one to rise above the evil and challenge Dracula's authority, even after he has contaminated her with his ways. It is Mina's knowledge that challenges Dracula, because it shows that the control he was had, or try to gain over Mina didn't work because she knew who she was and what she had the potential of doing. This confidence in herself, led Mina to having the abilities to rise above Dracula and use great knowledge to inevitably form the plan that killed him.
